Our story, our mandate.
Belgo Congo Role grew out of one conviction: the relationship between Belgium and the Congo deserves better than a debate that restarts on every anniversary.

01
Our story
The coalition was formed in 2026 by a group of Belgian, Congolese and dual-national citizens. None of them represented a government. All of them shared the same observation: the two countries talk to each other through press releases, and joint projects die for want of a structure to carry them.
Belgo Congo Role is that structure. It gathers those who want to work, whatever their reading of the past.
02
Our mission
Strengthening the relationship between the Kingdom of Belgium and the Democratic Republic of the Congo through dialogue, innovation, reconciliation and shared prosperity.
The mission breaks down into eight fields of action, each with programmes and named leads. The detail sits in the founding charter.

03
Our values

- Independence
- The coalition belongs to no government, no party and no denomination.
- Historical honesty
- We rewrite nothing, and we do not accuse anyone in place of historians.
- Reciprocity
- A programme that benefits only one of the two countries does not enter our portfolio.
- Transparency
- Accounts, governance and results published every year.
04
Founding charter
The charter sets out the coalition's purpose, its bodies, its decision-making and its financial rules. It will be published as a PDF and binding on every member.
