COOKIE POLICY

Version 1.0 — 2026 Last Updated: 12 September 2026

1. Purpose

This Cookie Policy explains how BCR uses or may use cookies and similar technologies on its website. It should be read together with BCR’s Privacy & Data Protection Policy.

2. What Is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small file or piece of information that may be stored on or read from the device used to access a website. Cookies and similar technologies may help a website function, remember choices, maintain a session, understand usage, or enable external services.

3. First-Party and Third-Party Technologies

Some cookies may be placed directly as part of the BCR website. Other technologies may come from integrated third-party services, such as video, analytics, payment, or another platform. Their presence depends on the website’s actual technical configuration.

4. Categories of Cookies

Depending on the features actually used, the website may include:

  • strictly necessary cookies: operation, security, sessions, consent-choice storage, or secure form/transaction functions
  • preference or functional cookies: remembering choices such as language or display
  • analytics or audience-measurement cookies: understanding website use and navigation
  • media and external content: technologies associated with video platforms or other embedded content
  • advertising or marketing tracking: BCR will intentionally use such technologies only after identification, assessment, and compliant configuration.

5. Consent

Where applicable law requires consent for certain technologies, BCR must provide a mechanism allowing the user to choose before activation. Refusing non-essential cookies should not prevent access to general functions that do not depend on them.

6. Managing Preferences

Where a consent-management tool is used, visitors should be able, according to available functionality, to accept or reject non-essential cookies, manage preferences by category, and change choices later. A preference mechanism should remain reasonably accessible where required.

7. Withdrawal of Consent

Where processing is based on consent, the user may withdraw or modify that consent through the available mechanism. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

8. Cookie Duration

Duration depends on the technology concerned. Some cookies end when the browser closes; others remain for a defined period. BCR does not publish generic or fictitious durations. The technical inventory should identify, where available, name, provider, purpose, category, duration, and first- or third-party status.

9. Third-Party Services

Where a third-party service capable of placing or reading cookies is actually used, the provider may process information under its own terms and policies. BCR seeks to select and configure services consistently with applicable obligations. Their presence does not automatically constitute an institutional partnership.

10. Browser Settings

Users may also delete, block, or restrict cookies through browser settings. Disabling necessary or functional cookies may affect features. Browser settings do not replace a legally required website consent mechanism.

11. Personal Data and Cookies

Certain technologies may generate or process information that constitutes personal data, including online identifiers. Where this occurs, processing is also subject to BCR’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

BCR may update this Policy when technologies are added, a provider changes, purposes or rules change, or the technical inventory identifies relevant changes. The published version will state its last-updated date.
