Board of Directors

Belgo Congo Role, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for the oversight, direction and governance of the organization in accordance with its Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws and applicable law.

BCR's governance refers to the internal governance of the organization. BCR does not exercise governmental or diplomatic authority over Belgium, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the United States, or any other state.

Message from the founder

The vision behind Belgo Congo Role has lived within me since my childhood. Over the years, that early conviction grew into a desire to create a bridge between Belgium and the Democratic Republic of the Congo: one that acknowledges our shared history while opening a new path built on dialogue, mutual respect, responsibility, cooperation, and shared prosperity.
BCR is the expression of that long-held dream: to help transform the weight of history into an opportunity to build together.

Remy W. OLEMBO

Biography

Remy W. OLEMBO, known within Belgo Congo Role (BCR) as “Mr. Role”, is the Founder and President of BCR. Born in Kindu, Maniema Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo, nine months after the country gained its independence, he was born in Africa, grew up in Europe, particularly in France and Belgium, and later established his life in the United States, where Belgo Congo Role was founded.

From childhood, Mr. Role carried a deep interest in the historical relationship between the Congo and Belgium, and a conviction that this shared history could become the foundation for a more constructive future. His life experience across Africa, Europe and the United States, together with his reflective and philosophical outlook and philanthropic commitment to service and human development, helped shape the vision behind BCR.

Through Belgo Congo Role, Mr. Role seeks to bring people, ideas, institutions and opportunities together around a relationship founded on historical understanding, mutual respect, responsibility, dialogue, cooperation and shared prosperity.
